Signal Processing Research
Dr. Jingxin Zhang, Mr. Brian Lithgow
and many others in the department are actively involved in research (and teaching) related to signal processing.
Signal processing research is conducted that is related to wireless communications as well as advanced areas like:
Optimal and robust filtering and its applications to multirate signal processing and subband coding; spectral estimation and its applications to synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and medical (ultrasound and MRI) imaging; SAR and medical image anlysis for target/object detection and recognition.
