What about utility and work hovercraft?
First determine what work you intend to do.
Carting cargo, carting supplies and equipment, surveying on desert, salt marsh and swamp areas, checking outfall pipes in muddy locations, you get the idea.
How big and how heavy will the stuff you want to carry be, do you want easy access to the craft, not climb over high decks. You may need a very low platform hovercraft with uncluttered deck space.
The Hovergo SG hovercraft was designed to be a true utility craft not only for passengers, the seats are removable and I have carried huge loads of horse feed, saddles, bags of cement, shovels, beer, camping equipment for 30 people to the islands, the Water Board wants to use the craft to check outfall sewer lines. I carry supplies to fishermen stranded in their boat on mud flats, waiting for the next tide.
We are looking at a couple of platform designs to suit specific enquiries so I will keep this section updated as time goes by.
If you have experience, then you will have a better idea of just what you want the hovercraft to do for you. Think about the terrain which you want to operate on, sand, water, grass, waves, it all makes a difference to the choice of craft and the design of the skirts for that hovercraft.
